In 1972, German Kurt Klemmer designed the first oversized tennis racquet, the “Bentley Fortissimo” manufactured by Snauwaert. Unfortunately, though impressive as a new design, it did not attract players on a massive scale. This is the first oversize racquet made worldwide. This racquet is extremely rare, as only two of the original twelve made are known to exist (other one remains in possession of donor Siegfried Kuebler).

Wooden laminated tennis racquet with nylon strings. The racquet is mustard yellow with black and white stripes with an oversize head and an open throat. The grip is wrapped in brown perforated leather and secured at the top with red tape and a screwed in black piece of plastic. The butt-cap is made of black plastic. "BENTLEY" is printed in black along the bottom of the head, and "FORTISSIMO" is printed in yellow along the top.
